# Create Quote for Holding Order

Request a quote for a collection of currency pairs for a Holding Order. The request returns a valid quote with live rates that can be booked within 120 seconds of generation for cross-currency pairs, or 12 hours for trades that are the same trade and settlement currencies.

At least one `itemToQuote` should be submitted and there is a limit of 25 currency pairs per quote request. If more than 25 pairs are submitted, or if duplicate currency pairs are submitted, a 400 error will be returned.

The `isAmountSettlement` optional parameter can be used to return quotes in settlement currency, otherwise the amounts will be returned in the trade currency. The default value for this field is `false`.
